The ocean tide on the beach
September 1, 2025

It was one of those snowy December days—the kind where you shovel once, then again, then again. I was bundled up, frozen to my bones, and silently muttering things I can’t print here. Somewhere between scraping ice off the driveway and losing feeling in my fingers (again), I looked up at the grey sky and thought:
“There has to be more than this.”

That moment was the beginning of everything.

I traded my shovel for a suitcase, my predictable 9-to-5 for a passport and name tag, and my fear for the kind of bold decision you only make once—or never. I didn’t know anything about working on a cruise ship. But I said yes anyway.

And that yes? It changed my life.

A Leap into the Unknown

I still remember walking onto that ship for the first time—nervous, excited, and asking myself, “What did I just do?”
I didn’t have all the answers. But I had curiosity, courage, and a stubborn belief that life was meant to be lived, not endured.

I spent nearly 15 years working on ships. I traveled the world, meeting people from every corner of the planet, and discovering that I thrive when I help others experience the magic of travel.

That snowy driveway feels like a lifetime ago. And in some ways, it is.

Coming Ashore with Purpose

Now, I’m back on land—but the adventure hasn’t stopped. It’s only gotten more personal.
